Intergenerational Housing
Project Brief
The intergenerational housing Bloomin’ is designed to serve as a place for people across different generations to unfold the bigger potentials they have. Representing the petals of the flower, activity layering and social engagement through different points of refuge and interactions will be provided in the design. Biophilic elements, such as indoor plants and natural materials, will be used all throughout the design to provide a sense of well-being as well as enhance creativity and clarity of thought.

The Lotus Flower grows deep in the muddy waters, far away from the sun.
When the Lotus reaches the light, it transforms into a beautiful flower. Symbolizing enlightenment, self-regeneration, and rebirth, this plant is a perfect metaphor for the human condition. The potential for our bloom lies hidden deep within the core of our hearts well before unfolding.
